2025 New Collection - SGHR IMPERFECT

These simple glasses have a different look on each individual product, with organic lines and small bubbles. Our products are usually made using only the cleanest parts of the molten glass made by boiling natural sand at high temperatures. However, for this collection, we deliberately use molten glass that retains characteristics, which is not normally used, to shape the glasses by mouth-blowing technique. It’s our way to celebrate the uniqueness and ‘imperfect beauty’ the nature creates.

Inspiration

The inspiration for the design of this collection came accidentally from the temporary difficulty in sourcing the minerals that we usually add to help glass melt easily. In order to continue making products for a long time to come using limited resources, we came to strongly feel that we should consider other ways, rather than just sticking to glass that is completely clear.

Message

Since they are the fruits of serendipity, we cannot predict what kind of bubbles or lines will come out each time. Rather than trying to control them, we will create the glasses by valuing the imperfect expressions that occur naturally. We hope many people will relate to the concept from the perspective of valuing the earth's resources and enjoy this collection.
