COUCHER is a glass pedestal for macarons designed by Saki Maeda, who is the winner of the design competition held by Pierre Hermセスゥ Paris and SGHR Sugahara for a glassware for macarons.

Coucher means 遯カ蠕ュqueeze遯カ in French pastry making and Ms. Maeda explains that she named her work after the process of macaron making as well as the cushion-like silhouette with the pattern that looks like gathers of a gorgeous dress.

Mr. Richard Ledu, CEO of PH Paris Japon, and Executive Chef Christophe Drapier say 遯カ蟒エs. Maeda遯カ蜀ア COUCHER reminded us a pedestal that a crown solemnly sits on. Pedestal is a cushion to place something very important on. To us, macarons are very important so we thought this is perfect. It遯カ蜀ア a stunning piece that has both detailed decorations and voluminousness.遯カ
